The standard was high and the designs varied. Ultimately the judges of Graham Meikle (ACC), Pete Tamlin (County Scout Network Commissioner) Kevin Wallis (ACCI) and Alan Bartlett (DESC Cotswold Edge) chose Tohill Explorer Scouts as winners of the Freestyle with their sculpture "Hug in a mug", and Killkenny Explorer Scout Unit took the Traditional Sandcastle category with their Sandcasle which had a keep, steps and portcullis.
